The MYST does seem to live up to the hype of giving your mouth a ‘full dental grade cleaning‘, right at home. 7 of the 8 staff members who tested MYST, stated that in addition to their mouths feeling extremely clean after each brushing, they noticed that nearly all of their plaque build up was gone too!

So How Does MYST Work?

The design is simplistic, modern and really feels nice in your hand. MYST comes with its own USB charging docking station, charges up super fast and we found that the toothbrush holds a charge for quite a while too!

Italy, the country with the most number of deaths from this pandemic have reached 7,500 people, while Spain has been hit hard, if not worse with 3,647 losses – both countries have already lost more people than China has. 

It is now obvious that flattening the curve of this pandemic will take a full-blown war, by every person still alive. 

Doctors, nurses and healthcare workers are the ones fighting on the front line. These heartbreaking photos that you are about to see is the reality of what happens behind those emergency doors of all those hospitals that are brimming with infected patients. From never-ending shifts that leave their tired faces filled with bruises, to working without even proper equipment and risking not only their own lives, but of their families as well. Ever since WHO announced that the world is living through a pandemic, panic buyers have been rushing off to do their shopping and hoarding pretty much everything from toilet paper to condoms. As they fight amongst themselves to stockpile to more things in the grocery stores, people often tend to forget that those that refill these racks are humans as well. 

Retail works have already voiced out the abuse that they experience at work nowadays, but it doesn’t seem like the situation is improving, even a little bit. Angela Breathet, a Tesco employee who had just finished her shift came home in tears and shared with her husband, Allan about the abuse she endured at work that day. She was shouted at, called names, and treated without an ounce of respect by those people that she is working hard to feed and supply with their basic needs. 

Her husband, Allan was fed up with all the selfishness in the midst of a global emergency that he wrote a powerful Facebook post, focusing on the fact that we all have to remain decent human beings. It’s a sad reality that people need to even be reminded of this, but it is a good wake-up call to check on how the communities have been treating people.

Allan from Inverness, Scotland told Mirror: 

“Too many people have been watching 28 Days Later and thinking we’re going to run out of food, it’s just got a wee bit out of hand. My wife came home on Sunday from work – she’s worked at Tesco for 25 years now and she’s worked Christmases and New Years and she’s never seen anything like it in her life.”

Usually, when his wife arrives home, she greets him and says, ‘how are you doing?’ This time around, he already knew something was very wrong by her misdemeanour when she arrived home. 

“She just looked at me, walked straight past me, went into the bedroom and just lay on the bed. I asked ‘are you ok?’ and she just started crying, nobody should come home from work like that. The kids were wondering what was wrong with their mom as well, so Allan tried to explain to them that people were jerks to her and her friends at work. “They asked why? And said ‘mum’s not done anything wrong.’”

Allan also made it a point to emphasise that people working in retail just want to do the best they can by serving the public. 

“To be called names, be shouted at and blamed for these things is past a joke.”

Even if he posted on Facebook as a rant, Allan can hardly believe that his post went viral, with now more than 165,000 shares. 

“Everybody who has commented has been so supportive. All I wanted was for people, when they go shopping, to be kind and don’t be aggravated.”

Italy, including the Vatican City and San Marino have been on complete lockdown since March 9, because of the high number of infected cases and deaths from coronavirus. 

As of March 23, 2020, the pandemic has already killed more than 6,000 people and infected over 63,000 in the country alone. 

And despite these numbers and the severity of the outbreak within the country, there are still some of those people that actually think that it’s okay to go for a jog, or take a stroll along the park, acting as if it’s just another regular day. 

Some mayors of these Italian towns and cities are downright fed up with these people that are blatantly ignoring all the rules that have been set forth, that they’ve ranted on social media, just to stop these stubborn residents from taking advantage and frolicking outdoors. 

One of the best lines from these videos is from that mayor who had to actually tell someone that he wasn’t ‘Will Smith in I Am Legend.’ This mayor saw a citizen who was going for a jog along the road, accompanied by his dog that was obviously tired from the exercise.

”I stopped him and said, ‘Look, this isn’t a movie. You are not Will Smith in I Am Legend. Go home,” the mayor said. 

Another one goes on ‘full-rage mode’ and drops the f-word while he was voicing out his frustrations. 

“Where the f*@k are you all going? You and your dogs…. Which must have an inflated prostate?“

These videos and compilations have been shared all over social media, and especially Twitter – where people can’t get enough of it and just hope that their own mayors and other government officials can follow these Italians’ examples. 

Since the virus has arrived in Italian shores on January 31, more than 7,400 people have recovered from coronavirus.

As the coronavirus outbreak grips Wuhan, images and videos have emerged of local residents collapsing in streets and hospitals throughout the quarantined city. 

Wuhan, the ground zero of the deadly corona virus has been dubbed “zombieland” by some of its locals. 

Distressing photos on social media show people collapsing on the streets and hospitals during this epidemic that has already killed at least 26 people. 

In one disturbing video, an unconscious man is seen lying on the street while medics in hazmat suits and gas masks are attempting to help him up. 

According to passersby, the victim who had a protective mask on was in line for paperwork when he just collapsed and lost consciousness. 

Another photo that has been circulating on social media is of a man reportedly dead on the ground with blood on his head. A local news site reported the victim as dead from coronavirus. 

The news site posted the image on social media with this caption:

“It is stated that a person infected with coronavirus died in blood.”

Another unverified video circulated online which shows scenes inside a chaotic Wuhan hospital. This footage showed the hospital staff wearing full-covered protective body suits going over dead bodies, while the hallways were overcrowded with patients and doctors. 

A woman claiming to be a nurse shared this video to Weibo, China’s microblogging website. She wrote that the hospital staff and patients were “stuck” with the dead bodies that are covered in white sheets, because no one can take them away right now. 

A lot of other images circulating online are believed to be located in Wuhan, although they all still remain to be unverified.

Residents in the “ground-zero” city have been told not to go to any public gatherings and avoid crowds, making the virus-originating city look like a ghost town – even if there are 11 million inhabitants.

Other images show residents crowding hospital corridors, all wearing masks, while they await to see a doctor. 

Supermarkets are all sold out with empty shelves after worried locals went and panic bought. 

All public transport to Wuhan has been on lock down on desperate bid to stop the epidemic from spreading to other nearby cities. 

Because of the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the local authorities of the city is building a 1,000 bed hospital just for patients infected with this sickness. Officials say that it will be completed by February 3, with photos already showing construction workers digging out to lay the foundations of the building. 

Meanwhile, it has been reported that nine people in the UK are being treated for symptoms that are found in coronavirus, while five have also come forward in Scotland, and another one in Belfast, Northern Ireland. 

The latest number of cases in China has now reached over 800 people, with other victims found in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and the US. 

With this virus spreading rapidly all over the world, questions are being raised as to how the Chinese authorities handled the outbreak when it began in Wuhan. 

A wet seafood market located in Wuhan city, which is bigger than London is where the virus originated in December. Even if it’s been more than a week with public knowledge that this virus can be easily spread from human to human, it was only this Thursday that authorities locked down all public transportation in and out of the city.

As of January 24, the deadly outbreak known as the coronavirus from China has already killed 26 people and infected more than 900.

Although according to a simulation that was conducted only three months ago, things could get even worse, and quick. 

According to Business Insider, a scientist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, Eric Toner, ran a simulation about a global pandemic of the exact same type of virus less than three months ago,. 

The simulation predicted that nearly 65 million people will die in an 18 month period.

“I have thought for a long time that the most likely virus that might cause a new pandemic would be a coronavirus,” he said 

At this moment, the outbreak is not yet pandemic, although it has already been reported to reach eight different countries in less than a month. Toner’s simulation showed that within six months, the deadly virus would reach nearly “every country in the world.”

“We don’t yet know how contagious it is. We know that it is being spread person to person, but we don’t know to what extent. An initial first impression is that this is significantly milder than SARS. So that’s reassuring. On the other hand, it may be more transmissible than SARS, at least in the community setting,” he said. 

Toner’s analysis made use of a fictional virus that is resistant to any modern vaccine and deadlier than SARS. This simulation virus that originated in Brazil’s pig farms was named CAPS. The outbreak would start small, with pig farms feeling flu-like symptoms, before it spreads to impoverished areas. 

The simulation also included how flights would be cancelled and travel bookings would fall to 45% as people would read false reports on social media. It also showed a financial crisis around the globe that would have an 11% GDP drop, as well as a 20-40% drop in the international stock market. 

The scientist also claimed that the real and dangerous coronavirus could create a major economic impact once the cases hit more than a thousand people. 

 “If we could make it so that we could have a vaccine within months rather than years or decades, that would be a game changer. But it’s not just the identification of potential vaccines. We need to think even more about how they are manufactured on a global scale and distributed and administered to people. It’s part of the world we live in now. We’re in an age of epidemics,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the CDC in the United States is assuring everybody that there is no need for concern.

“We don’t want the American public to be worried about this because their risk is low,” says Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “On the other hand, we are taking this very seriously and are dealing very closely with Chinese authorities.”

Hopefully, they are right, and the outbreak will be contained to those that are already suffering it, and no one else.

U.S. Financial Times reporter Gabriel Wildau picked up a Chinese newspaper which said that the whole city of Wuhan is under quarantine because of the rapid spread of a deadly virus called 2019 coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

 This highly infectious respiratory illness causes a type of pneumonia on those affected, and could even lead to death. Experts have compared it to the 2003 outbreak SARS, because it is also a type of coronavirus. Scientists have confirmed that the genetic code of the new virus is most closely related to SARS than any other that the humans have encountered. 

This deadly illness has originated from a seafood wet market in the city of Wuhan, China and has spread very quickly all across China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and now has reached the shores of the United States. 

Immediately after the U.S. reported its first case, the Chinese government had the city of Wuhan quarantined, and their 11 million residents will be trapped within the city unless they have special permission to leave after going through a screening process. 

At this moment, only hundreds of cases have been officially reported, but experts fear that this deadly virus has already infected over thousands by now. 17 people have already died from the illness. 

Before the Wuhan quarantine, the local government was already censoring news about the outbreak, while deleted social media posts that went again the official statements regarding the sickness. 

Because of the local government’s terrible mismanagement of the SARS outbreak back in 2002 and 2003, China is now under intense scrutiny on their solutions of containing this outbreak. The Chinese government was initially accused of covering up the severity of SARS when it was starting to spread to different countries. 

Residents living in the three affected cities have been advised not to come in contact with live animals without protection. They have also been advised to thoroughly cook meet and eggs and to avoid other people that are showing flu-like symptoms.

China’s coronavirus that is spreading all over the world is a very real and deadly threat. Experts warn people not to take this lightly. 

As China does all it can within their jurisdiction to contain the deadly coronavirus outbreak, their “wet markets” – food markets that sell live and dead animals – are being investigated by local authorities as the viral epidemic’s “ground zero.” 

The wet market located in the city of Wuhan is believed to be the source of this viral outbreak. The vendors allegedly sell meat of over 100 different animals including live rats, wolf puppies, porcupines, exotic snakes, live peacocks and even koalas – all to be eaten – according images seen on social media. 

Last Wednesday, state authorities just made a ban on the sale of live animals in wet markets. Huanan Seafood Market, located in the central city of Wuhan has already been closed since January 1. 

The director of Chinese agency that is in charge of controlling and preventing diseases, Dr. Gao Fu, has confirmed that the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) – came from “wild animals at the seafood market” although did not give any more specific information. The first victims have been reported to be employees at the Wuhan market. 

This wet market is filled with rows and rows or narrow lanes that are cluttered with butches, salesmen and buyers looking to buy and sell raw and live meat. Business Insider reported that people are in constant contact with dead and live animals in this market, making it perfectly easy for the virus to come in contact to the human population from their animal hosts. 

More commonly eaten animals like pigs, chickens, shrimp and dog are sold in this market, but there is also a vast array of exotic options that can be bought like crocodile tongue, giant salamanders and civets. 

According to AFP, Chinese consumption of civet meat was the reason for the 2003 deadly outbreak of the acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The SARS virus originally came from bats, which was also found being sold in hot soups all over the wildlife markets in China. 

One vendor in the Wuhan market had an advertisement: 

 “Freshly slaughtered, frozen and delivered to your door. Wild Game Animal Husbandry for the Masses.”

While the local Chinese authorities have stopped illegal trafficking of wild species since the SARS outbreak, conservationists believe that their regulations are still too lax, especially for those animals that are farmed for commercial purposes. 

Exotic species like turtles are seen as delicacies in China and other Asia countries because of their mythical and unproven medicinal benefits. Consumption of live animals and exotic animals are also seen as a high symbol of social status in China. 

However, some live animal sales have shocked even the locals at how far Chinese would go. 

Once Chinese social network user posted online in Weibo: 

“Just took a closer look at the viral wild animal menu – they even eat koalas.”

Another user replied:

“There’s nothing Chinese people won’t eat.”

Dr. Christian Walzer, executive director of the U.S. based Wildlife Conservation Society’s Health Program came out with a statement saying: 

“Chinese scientists believe the Wuhan Coronavirus originated in wildlife sold illegally in a live animal market. This virus is closely related to SARS and it now appears the spill-over to humans followed a similar transmission path. China closed Wuhan markets where this new virus was tracked back to – but similar markets occur in other cities across China and other Asian countries. 

If these markets persist, and human consumption of illegal and unregulated wildlife persists, then the public will continue to face heightened risks from emerging new viruses, potentially more lethal and the source of future pandemic spread.

Poorly regulated live animal markets, where wild animals, farmed-wildlife, and domestic animals are transported from across the regions and housed together to sell for human consumption provide ideal conditions for the emergence of new viruses that threaten human health, economic stability, and ecosystem health.”

In the meantime, the capital, Beijing is struggling with keeping the coronavirus under control by imposing a quarantine on three cities that have had 17 residents die and 640 infected. 

Experts have also warned that the possibility of the deadly virus spreading to Australia is very likely. 

“We do have a lot of traffic from China and I think it’s quite possible we will get some cases here but I’m very confident that we’re well prepared to respond if we do,” Australia’s Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy mentioned. 

There has already been one case of a person in Sydney being quarantined for possibly having the symptoms of the deadly virus, as reported by the health authorities in Australia.

After months of devastating wildfires all across Australia which was killing their wildlife and plant life, amazing photos have just resurfaced showing bush already regrowing in the areas most destroyed. These pictures are giving hope to the people that are too far away to help the ongoing bushfire crisis. 

Murray Lowe, a local photographer took these photos last January 6 in Kulnara. It is an area located in the New South Wales Central Coast region. 

As he uploaded the photos on social media, he accompanied it with this post: 

 “Ventured out into the fire grounds today to capture some images of how the Aussie bush responds to fire, and the way it regenerates itself and comes back to life.

Even without any rain, life bursts through the burnt bark from the heart of the trees and the life cycle begins again.

It’s so heartening to see the bush coming back to life again.”

Since Lowe has shared these photos on Facebook, they have been shared by other online users over 40,000 times. He’s been shocked by the response, and had to write an update: 

 “I did not, in my wildest dreams, anticipate the overwhelming response to my photos that I’ve seen. It’s both humbling, and heart-warming.”

A Facebook user commented in reply:

 “Thank you for sharing these pictures, it gives a glimmer of hope through these dark days.”

Another user commented:

“As the indigenous people of our country say… Australian country depends on fire to regenerate…. It just needs to be managed by people who understand it.”

Because of the wonderful feedback Lowe has received, his photos are now available to purchase in print. A portion of the proceeds that he will get from the sales will be donated to victims of the fires. 

Other Australians have also started posting their own photos of their regions’ regrowth as the local government, fire fighters and volunteers continue to try and dissipate the blazes that are still ongoing in some areas of the country.
