Fletcher Family: Liberty Star

Star is a black lab mix. She's about 18 months old, she's been to obedience classes, and she loves to play fetch.  Star was at North Texas Animal Control Authority and almost put to sleep for lack of an adopter. She and her sister were just puppies when they were on an outing with their mom when she was struck by a car and killed. A good samaritan took in the two pups, then many months later spayed them, then dropped them off at the local kill shelter. Tammy or Christy photographed her, Shirley listed her and I rescued her last summer. She had mange and a staph infection and that was treated and after two months she was adopted. After six months she starting with the other family pet at her new home and was returned. She was adopted within a few days of Metroport's listing by the Fletcher family. These are pictures of Star in her new home.  They renamed her Liberty Star. In their words, they are "smitten"!
